Forward Deployed Engineer

As a Forward-Deployed Engineer, you own revenue. You do it by going deep into customer workflows without becoming a consultant, and by winning enterprise deals without derailing the core product roadmap.

You sit at the intersection of GTM, Product, Engineering, and the Center of Excellence, owning engagements from pre-deployment through maturity, alongside Deployed Strategists.

What you'll own

Write production software on top of the Orus platform for real customer deployments
Run process discovery: turn ambiguous, cross-system problems into shipped solutions
Build prototypes that show Orus AI agents in live enterprise scenarios
Partner with GTM on technical boundaries in sales, including SOWs and collateral
Collaborate with Engineering to architect implementations that scale across business-critical processes
Drive adoption from pilot to production, and carry field signal back to Product and Engineering
Lead on-site training and workshops; travel up to ~50%, with 2–3 days a week at the customer when needed

What you need

2+ years building software in a high-ownership, customer-facing role: FDE, solutions engineer, early startup engineer, or technical founder
Strong hands-on Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
Experience shipping production-grade AI systems
Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Comfort operating under ambiguity, travel, and fast-moving deployments

Nice to have

Founder experience
Experience at a frontier AI lab or top AI application company
Background in ERP, system integration, or enterprise IT
